What is the Welcome Gate?
The Welcome Gate is an optional landing screen that guests see when they first open your guide. It creates a professional first impression with your branding, a welcome message, and a button to enter the guide. Think of it as a branded welcome mat for your digital guide.

Upload a photo of your property or area. This fills the entire screen behind your text.

Best Practices
Keep the heading short - Two to five words works best. 'Welcome to [Property Name]' is a classic choice.Use a high-quality background image - A photo of your property exterior or a scenic view from the property works perfectly.Make the button text action-oriented - 'Enter Guide' or 'View Your Guide' is clearer than just 'Continue'.Do not overload the welcome message - Keep it brief. Save detailed information for the guide sections.Test on mobile - Most guests will view on their phone. Make sure the Welcome Gate looks great on small screens.Pro Tip
The Welcome Gate is optional and not all properties need one. It works best for premium properties, branded portfolios, or when you want to make a strong first impression. If your guide is simple, guests may prefer going straight to the content.Troubleshooting
- Welcome Gate not appearing → Make sure the Welcome Gate is enabled in your property settings. It only appears on published guides.
- Background image not loading → Check the image URL is valid and the file is under 5MB. Try re-uploading the image.
- Logo looks blurry on the Welcome Gate → Use a high-resolution logo (at least 400x400px). SVG or PNG with transparent background works best.
- Animation not playing → Some animations may not work on older mobile browsers. Try a simpler animation style like 'fade' for maximum compatibility.
- Want to disable the Welcome Gate temporarily → Toggle it off in property settings. Your configuration is saved and will be there when you re-enable it.
